If Gerber had settled for making just one version of the Paraframe knife, people might have been content. Because this reputable example of frame lock design caught on admirably among knife lovers...making the Paraframe a mainstay of the industry. The Gerber Compact Clearpath is a compact machete. Compact but effective. The 28.5 cm blade is relatively short for a machete. As such it will take up less room when you take it with you in your backpack. The handle is firm and very light-weight. A core of glass reinforced nylon is complemented by a rubber grip. As such this machete will never slip from your hands.

The blade is made from stainless steel. Not incredibly sharp, however, a machete doesn’t have to be razor-sharp. The spine of the blade has been enhanced with a beautiful row of serrations. If you can’t cut through a branch with the machete, you can always use the saw. Gerber indicates that you can use the saw for branches up to 2.5 cm.
